Licensing & Franchising Association of Hong Kong (HKLFA) will apply the funding support from Create Hong Kong to organize a project of “Inspiring Hong Kong Anime Characters to Enhance Commercial Value through Licensing” to promote creativity and innovation in Hong Kong by inspiring transferring designed anime characters to business applications by licensing with workshops, mentorship program and exhibition.
Objectives
To facilitate and implement the following activities in our project proposal:
Organize a half-day seminar (open to public) to announce the project along with an experience sharing session to the industry in order to attract the industry players to join.
Set up social media platforms including a project website (i.e. Facebook and a page at HKLFA’s website) for recruitment, news of the licensing show, and post all the participants’ designed characters on the social media platforms.
Conduct five half-day dissemination workshops (open to public) by to local designers to transfer the knowledge of characters for licensing.
Organize recruitment and a vetting committee to select the participants for the exhibition (target to have 50 participants).
Conduct a mentorship program (target 15 mentees with totally about 45 mentoring meetings, only for exhibition participants).
Organize an exhibition: TDC Licensing Show 2017 in Hong Kong for all 50 participants’ character designs with Business Matching sessions.
